FIFA World Cup 2010 Results & Highlights- Both of Group A Matches

S.Africa 2:1 France

Bongani KHUMAL(20')
Florent MALOUDA (70')
Katlego MPHELA(37')

South Africa beat France 2-1 for only their second FIFA World Cup™ victory, but both teams ultimately emerged losers in Bloemfontein. Carlos Alberto Parreira's team became the first host nation to fail to qualify for the tournament's second round while a miserable campaign from the French came to a predictable conclusion as they also bowed out of South Africa 2010.

Uruguay 1:0 Mexico

Luis SUAREZ (43')

Uruguay finished top of Group A thanks to a hard-fought 1-0 win over Mexico at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg, but the defeat was ultimately sufficient for El Tri to join their conquerors in the Round of 16.

World Cup 2010- Today Match Preview

Denmark vs Netherlands
The Netherlands may have the edge on Denmark in terms of big-name performers, but the two sides’ head-to-head record makes for interesting reading. The pair boast two wins apiece from five competitive matches, the Dutch scoring ten goals to the Danes’ nine, while each tasted success in the 1988 and 1992 editions of the UEFA European Championship respectively.

Player to watch
Denmark: Nicklas Bendtner and Daniel Agger
Netherland: Robbie van Persie, Wesley sneijder and Arjen Robben

My Prediction
easy win for netherlands 3-1

Japan vs Cameroon
Group E contest pitting Cameroon against a Japan team who managed to win just one of their four warm-up matches, scoring a solitary goal. But the Indomitable Lions have not enjoyed the best of results recently either, drawing two and losing two of their own preparatory friendlies. This encounter between two teams potentially short on confidence already has a decisive air about it as, with group rivals Denmark and the highly-fancied Netherlands waiting around the corner, neither side will favour starting their second match on the back foot.

Player to watch
Japan:Shunsuke Nakamura and Makoto Hasebe
Cameroon: Samuel Eto'o, Geremi, and Benoit Assou-Ekotto

My Prediction
Tricky match but i'll go for the samurai. 2-1

Italy vs Paraguay
The defending world champions make their 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa debut against Paraguay in a match that ought to have a major bearing on who tops Group F. And not for the first time in their history, the men in blue will be heading into their opening match with several questions to answer.

Player to watch
Italy: Vicenzo Iaquinta, Andrea Pirlo, Alberto Gilardino, and Antonio Di Natale
Paraguay: Roque Santa Cruz and Lucas Barrios

My Prediction
Draw 1-1

World Cup 2010- Match day 1 (2nd day)

After disappointed 1st day performance, we'd seen a very good display by S.korea, Greece, England, and USA. I think the 2nd match of the day should be better than that, if Argentina & Nigeria showing their true potential. However, Robert Green error will become main story on news in the next few hours. Ya! Green might be hands USA draw but he save England from defeated.

Goal of the day

Park Ji-Sung He pick the lose ball and run passed two defender before slides it under the goalkeeper.

Save of the day

Vincent Enyeama He denied Leo Messi a goal not once but twice.

Player of the day

Oguchi Onyewu a solid performance from the towering centre back. Kudos for him.
Park chu-young he didn't put his name on the scoresheet but he caused plenty of problem for Greece defence.

Poor player of the day

All of Nigerian outfield player
Robert Green

Trivia: Both of South Korean goals are came from 7th minute.

World Cup 2010- Match day 1

World Cup day one does not impress me at all. It is not about the scoreline but the game play, which is not up to world cup standard for me.
Hope! the next match will be better

First day best moment

>> Tshabalala Wonderful goal
>> Muslera saved from gourcuff free-kick
>> Khune saved vela shot
>> The shot from 30-35 yards by Toulalan
>> Loreido red card lol
